Activities to Enjoy

Day 1 – Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Depart from Kampala/Entebbe early in the morning and take the 7 hour drive to Bwindi, including stop overs at the Equator (Kayabwe) and in Mbarara town for lunch. Check in to your lodge early evening and have dinner.

Day 2 – Gorilla trekking at Bwindi

After a 0630 hrs breakfast, head for the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) briefing centre with a packed lunch provided by the lodge. You must be at the UWA briefing centre well before 0800 hrs for registration and a talk from ranger-guide on trekking rules. Gorillas move to new places every day and the time taken to see the Gorillas is unpredictable. This ranges from 2-3 hours to 6 or 7 hours. Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – Travel to Lake Bunyonyi for Bird watching and community tour

After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Bunyonyi Kabale (approx. 2 hours travel time), where you will check in to your lodge and thereafter tour the scenic and tranquil lake to view the very diverse birdlife (200 species), listen to the interesting stories about the history of the area, and visit the local Batwa community to see how they live.

Day 4 – Travel to Entebbe/Kampala

After breakfast, travel to Entebbe/Kampala with a stopover en-route for lunch.
