Day 1 – Entebbe/Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Depart from Entebbe/Kampala early in the morning for Queen Elizabeth NP with stopovers at the Equator (Kayabwe) and Mbarara town for lunch. Continue through the lush hills and the tea estates of Bunyaruguru to Queen Elizabeth NP. Enjoy the game drive as you enter the park before sunset. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 2 – Game drive at Queen Elizabeth NP and boat cruise on Kazinga Channel

Set off for early morning game drive and expect to see lions, elephant, and various other small animals and birds, then return to the lodge for breakfast. After lunch board the boat for the cruise along Kazinga Channel, a good experience for bird watchers, and for observing hippo, crocodiles, and elephants. Return to the Lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – QENP to Bwindi

Depart early morning for approximately 4 hour drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (lunch en route). Arrive, check in to the lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 4 – Gorilla trekking at Bwindi

After a 0630 hrs breakfast, head for the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) briefing centre with a packed lunch provided by the lodge. You must be at the UWA briefing centre well before 0800 hrs for registration and a talk from ranger-guide on trekking rules. Gorillas move to new places every day and the time taken to see the Gorillas is unpredictable. This ranges from 2-3 hours to 6 or 7 hours. Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Travel to Lake Bunyonyi for Bird watching and community tour

After an early breakfast, depart for Lake Bunyonyi, Kabale (approx. 2 hours travel time), where you will check in to your lodge and thereafter tour the scenic and tranquil lake to view the very diverse birdlife (200 species), listen to the interesting stories about the history of the area, and visit the local Batwa community to see how they live.

Day 6 – Travel to Entebbe/Kampala

After breakfast, travel to Entebbe/Kampala with a stopover en route for lunch.
